Family Hubs: Building Back Better

Posted 9th July 2020

Family Hubs Network and Mutual Ventures are co-hosting a free webinar and we’d love you to join us.

Now is a pivotal time to create better systems to deliver better outcomes through whole family working, integrated service delivery and a relational approach.

This webinar will make the case for change, present the problems that need solving and inspire you about what can be achieved.

For everyone who is supporting families – in the public, voluntary and private sectors.

Presenters

Isle of Wight Council

The Isle of Wight worked with Hampshire County Council to transform their Children’s services from “special measures” in 2013 to “good” in 2019. Key to this was pioneering an “early help” Family Hubs model.

Doncaster Council

Doncaster have 10 years of experience of the Family Hub model with 12 Family Hubs in the area, and a particular focus on measuring outcomes.

Essex County Council

Essex have implemented an innovative Family Hubs model with “early help front doors” in high footfall venues (such as the local library), with a real emphasis on developing a healthy system.

The event will be chaired by Lord Farmer, founder of the Family Hubs Network and Andrew Naird, Managing Director at Mutual Ventures.

Lord Farmer

Lord Farmer is the founder of the Family Hubs Network, an infrastructure organisation which supports the growth of spread of Family Hubs across the UK and provides a learning space where local authorities and others can share good practice, journeys of system change and how they have evaluated progress.

Andrew Laird

Andrew Laird is the Managing Director at Mutual Ventures, a consultancy specialising in supporting local authorities’ response to the most difficult challenges facing public services. Mutual Ventures currently support the Strengthening Families and Children’s Social Care Innovation Programme.
