Professional services are delivered from our hubs both stand alone and in conjunction with our team. Midwife, Health reviews, Adult Learning, counselling, Family Group Conference, Family contact sessions and various health clinics are delivered on a stand alone basis.
Parenting classes are delivered in conjunction with DCST, First Friends/Growing Friends and Infant Massage are delivered in conjunction with RDASH. Other services use our hubs as a locality base. The referral pathway for families is co-ordinated by our Early Help Hub – all referrals go through this hub and are then triaged and directed to the relevant service for further support – be that a single agency or a multi-agency Team Around the Family.
We work under the ethos of a ‘Family Hub Umbrella’ whereby services are delivered directly and ‘in and through the Family Hub’. We aim to be the first port of call for anyone who is unsure of how to access any of the services under the umbrella. Our primary focus is the first 1001 days from conception to the child’s second birthday. We also work very closely with our early years team and local childcare providers to encourage our vulnerable families to take up the 2/3 year funding offer to support children to be more school ready.
